What is the difference between a coaching call and a student profile strategy session?

A coaching call is immediate help on a 60 minute Zoom call with a college expert. A Student Profile Strategy Session is a Zoom call directly with a College Expert when you’re ready to move forward with full private college consulting.

Should I book a coaching call if all I need is for my letter/essay to be edited and reviewed?

If you already have a completed draft, you can submit the essay for editing here.

If I book a Student Profile Strategy Session, do I have to commit to working with THE cOLLEGE EXPERT TEAM for the duration of the application process?

Generally, when students book an SPSS with us, they’re planning on using our team for the entirety of the process. However, if you do the session and realize that it’s not a fit or you don’t need our services further, there’s technically no official commitment beyond the SPSS.

How can I make sure that Alexis is my college counselor?

Filling out our contact form is the first step. Our office will reach out and you’ll learn more about the opportunities to work with Alexis and our incredible team of experts.

If I sign up for COUNSELING with Alexis, will she be the only person I work with for the whole time? 

Alexis will guide you throughout the college admissions process, meeting with you regularly to strategize everything from your college list to campus visits and overall application planning. When it comes to essays, you’ll also work with a dedicated member of our team—someone Alexis has personally selected and will oversee to ensure your voice shines through and your strategy stays on track.

How many students does Alexis take on a year for private college consulting? 

Alexis works with a maximum of 15 seniors each year to ensure every student receives personalized attention.

When should I start private college consulting? 

Spring of ninth grade or the beginning of tenth are ideal, but we also start with juniors and seniors in the fall when they start their applications. 

What if I don’t like the ESSAY SPECIALIST I’m working with?

Just reach out via email and we’ll make a change—no questions asked. Our goal is to make sure every student feels supported and heard.

What if I need more than one coaching call?

How long should I expect the private college consulting process to take? 

This completely depends on the client. Please contact us and we can get on a call to discuss your individual needs. 

How do you charge for consulting services? 

We offer hourly rates and packages for college counseling and essay support with all of our College Experts (including Alexis) and our Essay Specialists.
